It is with great optimism and expectation that we welcome you to the beginning of a great year. Lots of people around the world are already setting (and breaking, of course) their New year’s resolutions, but we are confident of keeping track of our set goals and strategizing on how to bring the dreams to reality.
2018 was awesome filled with a plethora of activities and achievements, but the highlight of the year was emerging as finalists in The Google Impact Challenge Africa Awards in recognition of our work with the Tech 101 Digital Skills Literacy project, out of over 6,000 submissions. Tech 101 has in partnership with the Akwa Ibom State Government through Akwa Ibom Enterprise and Employment Scheme (AKEES) trained and engaged 3,300 youths in ICT courses laced with Enterprise development and our Goal this year, is to train 10,000 disadvantaged young people in rural communities of the Niger Delta region.
While bolstering our 5,700 member strong entrepreneurial ecosystem for collaboration, networking, access to opportunities, Talent sourcing, and technology education, We seek strategic sponsorship/partnerships with like minded Individuals, Organizations, Agencies and bodies to be able to achieve our set plans.
Going forward, we would be onboarding and engaging more individuals with great ideas, as well as startups seeking to access funding opportunities, resources, mentorship and structures to help grow their businesses/ideas. We are prepared to be the platform of choice to foster entrepreneurial development with the aim of simplifying the startup processes and making it readily available to all, while grooming our growing talent pool and shaping them for the jobs of the future.
We pledge to be at the forefront in bridging the technological divide by deploying digital adoption programs that would sensitize, educate as well as attract the much needed tools to aid development in sectors like:
- Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR)
- Drone technology
- Robotics and Automation
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and others.
